Default Monitor Lions arch for bots.

I dont know how many of you have noticed, but i know that GW frowns upon bots but seriously, has anyone noticed just how many bots fill up lions arch 1?

ITS INSANE!

if you want to find out who the botters are! go there! its chuck full of them!

I try to spam something twice in succession for trading, i get the "excessive messaging" message.

If these certain people try it, the can spam 4-5 things within a 3 second period when i cant even get two off!

One i will PARTIALLY name has the word dissolute in their name
one has nice in it
and a BUNCH of others

Go to lions arch o.o you'll see what i mean.

and its not just spamming 1 thing, they spam MULTIPLE items, first second it'll be GOLD MAX FELLBLADE! 50k! next half second (literally) will be GOLD MAX SHIELD OF THE WING! UNID! 30k! and then a flatbow and etc. etc. etc. and this happens all within the timeframe of less than 5 seconds

well you do know that its not hard to spam like that right?

all you have to do is type in sentence A, press enter
type in sentence B, press enter

next time all you have to do is this:
<enter><uparrow><uparrow><enter> x2

and that puts up all you put in the first time, in the order you put it in

its not that hard. And if you do 2 different small message instead of 1, it won't count as spamming. if you just copy/paste the same sentence all the time, then it's going to recognize the identical sentences and make you wait

I think you should apply for a job with Anet to become a full time bot monitor. Of course i'm sure that would require some training... lol

First of all this is a description of spam, not a botter.

Second, they do multiple items because a) they HAVE multiple items and b) it keeps the "excessive messaging" message from coming up.

Whenever I sell things, I usually have each one in it's own sentence. Something like this:
---WTS NECRO STAFF---
---WTS SWORD---

Then I just hit enter and pick them back and forth. Since there are so many people selling things, I usually wait until one has scrolled up the chat window, then select the other (or next) one.

I hardly ever get that "excessive" message.

Third, if you don't like this... go to a district ASIDE from 1. Most people are aware that if you want to buy or sell something, district 1 of the major cities are the place to do that. Heck I often go to district 2, turn off my local channel, and just stand by storage using the trade channel to try and get some buyers.

Fourth, don't name names... I don't believe you are allowed to bad mouth people like that in these forums.

What ANet really needs to do is either get people using the right channels for the right things, or get that auction house/bazaar thing in here so we don't have to stand around doing "WTB/WTS" for a couple hours to clear our inventory...
